Cleaner for bath ceiling that doesn't promote mildew
I have some dusty (NOT mildewed nor moldy) spots on my bathroom ceiling
that I would like to clean. However, in my past experience, residue from soaps provides food for mildew and I ended up with mildew in the spots that I had cleaned with soap. What kind of cleaner or detergent can clean a bathroom ceiling without leaving residue that mildew can feed on? -- Steven L. |

I suspect the mildew has a lot more to do with dampness and inadequate vent. than with soap. Just clean it and rise it. If there is an A/C vent blowing onto a wall or ceiling, it can cause condensation and then mildew from the continual dampness. Got exhaust fan? |
