They WERE deprived of their land! The Ottoman Empire was on the losing side
in WWI. All the lands belonging to the empire were turned over to the United
Nations (via the League of Nations). The United Nations, in turn, gave it to
the state of Israel.

In other words, the Pals lost the land, fair-and-square, by force of arms..
Five times, now, they have tried to take it back by the same method. In all
five attempts, they've failed.

Of course they are welcome to try a sixth time, but with nary a tank or
combat aircraft to their name I can't believe they'd be THAT stupid.

With Pals, though, you never know.
