But seriously- what are you thinking? Carpet is contra-indicated in your environment. As much as I hate laminate, put down some of that, and buy a couple dozen small rubber-backed throw rugs, that can fit in the big-boy washer at the laundromat, or survive manual cleaning at the coin-op car wash. (After which you hang them over the fence till they drain enough to roll up and put back in the car. If you have a truck, you can hang them over your own fence till they dry.) -- aem sends... |

Dogs and carpet don't go together. If you could figure where a dog will do dirty business, you could cover that area with something waterproof. But you can't figure where a dog will do dirty business. A dog will **** under a table. Or a seldom traveled place. You might not notice it for days. The **** will soak through into the padding. Depending on the dog's chemistry, it can stink forever. If there is decent wood underneath, the **** can stain the wood. It will dissolve the varnish over time. They sometimes puke in "private" places too. Then you got your diarrhea, dog body odor stinking up any place where it nests a long time, etc, etc. You say you are "getting new carpet next monday." So all this will do is give you something to worry about. You should just forget you asked. And don't read this reply. --Vic |

One of which is an electric fence for the dogs... and maybe the wife. |
