I'm actually surprised license tags don't have 2d barcodes yet, like they have had in sci-fi movies and TV for 20 years. They have gotten really, really good with reading those at a distance, and they cost a fraction of what even an entry-level transponder does. Too easy to dick with using an indelible marker perhaps, just like the 1 d ones [Now the paranoid part of me says, how do you know they don't have ones that are only visible in IR ??] jk |

Ah.... circus people. I can imagine. The one time I bought from the
big tent guys was a combination wrench set. This was about 1990, and I still have it. The wrenches are a bit over size, and are loose. They tend to round out the nuts. -- Christopher A. Young Learn more about Jesus www.lds.org .. wrote in message ... Now, before I bought this second grinder from Menards, I had purchased another generic brand grinder from one of these ripoff places that goes from town to town, sets up a tent, and sells tools. When I used that grinder the first time, it lasted a total of about 10 minutes before the smoke began pouring out of it, and it just burned out and died. I was not working it very hard either. Now that was a waste of money, and there was no place to return the piece of ****. |

I could go several different directions with that comment. However, I'd rather have a nude king than NP as Speaker of the House. There are those Democrats who are actively running AGAINST the President and even against Nancy Pelosi. But irrespective of their positions and even whether any particular Democrat is a "Blue Dog," his or her first vote in the House of Representatives will be for Nancy Pelosi as Speaker. That vote, in turn, influences every susbsequent committee assignment, chairmanships, bill submission, and vote or non-vote. Just today we see that the House will adjourn tomorrow without voting on a budget, a tax package, or some twenty other must-pass bills. --- Regarding taxes, assuming the Congress returns the second week in November when there are only six weeks remaining before the Bush tax cuts expire; but sorting out who gets to keep a tax cut and who doesn't is only the toe in the water. Assuming the Congress can get a bill - whatever the provisions - passed on this matter and signed by the president in one week. That leaves roughly five weeks before the first pay period in January. Over 25 million firms will have to change their payroll procedures - but they won't have the full five weeks! The IRS will have to publish new withholding tables, allowances for dependent exemptions, capital gains percentages, etc. Software companies (i.e. Intuit and Quickbooks) will have to code the changes and test the modifications (remember, most state income tax is based on the federal rate). The software companies will then have to replicate the changes and ship the results to literally millions of their clients. These clients, in turn, will have to install the new software during the holiday season (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hannukah, New Years'). Even IF the Congress merely extends the Bush tax cuts, many software packages have the original expiration built-in, and will automatically revert to the pre-Bush rates! Come the first payday in January, there will be an outbreak of screaming, stabbings and assorted mayhem as things get terribly screwed up. People will die. Fortunately, not too many children. |

I'm not the webmaster, and I didn't come up with the idea. I'll add a little to the tons of "reviews". I bought a Multi-Tool from HF and have used it several times. It worked as good at the $400 real-deal but only cost $35 plus shipping and yes, I have used a MultiMaster. I'm very satisfied. Maybe the professional that uses it 8 hours a day will wear it out, but for the average homeowner, it is a great tool. It gets into places nothing else can. I actually used is about an hour ago to notch out a 1x10. Yes, I could have sawed a couple of slots and then, break off the piece, but this tool does a nice clean cut. |
