Your footnote about code enforcement needs to be moved to the top of the list. You may also be forced to do other code upgrades such as AFCIs, sufficient kitchen circuits, a dedicated bathroom 20 amp circuit, and even smoke detectors. Up here in Ontario, replacing a panel does not trigger code upgrades. |
