Not so fond of the bait traps that feed them poisoned food, as they
force me to figure out where the dead critters are. I'd rather
confine my looking for carcass hunting to where the trap(s) are.

Tin Cat by Victor. Live catch. They work very well, and last decades, or
until you run over it with the car. Don't ask. Best damn mouse trap made.

Much like water problems in basements, gotta attack the problem before
it gets in.
