a roof proposal said it was $250 , then he said he would throw it in

System Plus extends the duration of the warranty, adds labor cost
coverage, and has some other bells and whistles.

If the guy has done a right job of installation you'll never use it.
On the other hand, if GAF did manage to make a bad lot of shingles
that don't go bust until twenty years down the road it could save you
quite a lot of money.
