Anyone have good results with re-modeling a split level ranch ? or have any
advice on such a remodel ? or a link that has the advice ?

the house under consideration has a garage, middle, upper and lower level .
The upper lower levels have about eight stairs each to the middle level.
The front entrance opens on middle level into small hall way that connects
to the three levels. Garage connected to middle level. The house is brick.

The idea is to add space above the middle level and possibly the garage, and
to adjust roof lines or front (a face lift) to give a more modern
appearence.
