The Senate has once again watered down legislation to condone illegal
immigration into the USA. Why can't we uphold the rule of law in our
country? How can we expect anyone to abide by our laws if we do not
respect them ourselves? I am a legal American immigrant. My wife's
parents were immigrants from Mexico. We both sternly believe the
legislation proposed by the Senate is both wrong and destructive to
our country. Reagan made the mistake in 1986 and we have been paying
for his charity ever since.

Now the Senate has decided once again to bestow amnesty on those that
are breaking the law. Does that mean that Americans can break the law
any time they want and expect someone to provide them with amnesty? My
wife also works at a school where over 50% of the students barely
speak English. Yet the administrators and teachers are expected to
meet strict testing standards equivalent to schools where white middle
class kids speak English fluently. This is wrong.

Our hospitals, jails, schools and transportation systems are currently
seriously overburdened because of the influx of immigrants from
Mexico, Central and South America. The hard working tax paying
Americans are suffering the burden as their taxes go up, their health
care diminishes, the schools are inept and the jails continue to crowd
with law breakers from other countries. Congress and those in our
government supporting this legislation are deteriorating our American
system. America will soon be another third world country because we
refuse to protect the values and laws that have made us the envy of
the world.

Americans are too stupid to realize that the flooding of illegal
immigrants is another strategic move on the part of our enemies to
destroy America. How will amnesty prevent future illegal immigrants
from entering our country? It will not. When Reagan gave illegals
amnesty in 1986 it brought a flood of new illegal immigrants and now
20 years later we are paying the price for his folly. We should
instead be enforcing our immigration laws. Mexico and other Central
and South American countries will remain corrupt and they will
continue to send us their poor and their criminals. This is not any
different than the Mariel boat lift where Castro released the
prisoners from his country to undermine South Florida and other areas
of the US where the Cubans settled.

Any legislation to legitimize the illegal workers here in the US must
include certain provisions in order for it to work and to assure other
legal immigrants and tax paying Americans that it is fair.
1) Any illegal immigrant in this country must report to an Immigration
office within six months to register their full legal name, their
current residence, their place of employment and provide fingerprints
and DNA to be filed with national law enforcement agencies.
2) Any illegal immigrant that does not report within six months would
be deported after providing fingerprints and DNA to law enforcement
agencies. Registering fingerprints and DNA with law enforcement will
give our law enforcement the tools they require to keep the peace and
the respect they deserve for the difficult job they have.
3) Any illegal immigrant that is not employed as certified by their
employer should be deported after providing fingerprints and DNA to
law enforcement agencies.
4) After registering with an Immigration office, providing their
information, fingerprints and DNA, illegal immigrants would be issued
a six month temporary workers Visa that would have to be renewed every
six months pending certification of legal employment.
5) Any illegal immigrant can apply for US citizenship if they have
registered with immigration and have been gainfully employed for at
least two years. They must have complied with the worker visa program
by registering and updating their information every six months with
the Immigration office. They will get in line with others from other
countries that have not circumvented US laws and have legally applied
for US citizenship.
6) Any illegal immigrant convicted of a felony will serve their time
and be deported after they serve their time, never again to be allowed
legal entry into the US.
7) Any illegal immigrant that registers with immigration for a
temporary workers Visa will be required to pay all taxes including
Workers Compensation and Social Security taxes, property taxes and
income tax. If a worker with a temporary workers visa receives a wage
in the US and works for at least six months they would be required to
file a Federal Income tax form with the IRS.
8) Any immigrant working with a temporary workers Visa that loses
their job must find gainful employment within three months of losing
their job or return or be deported back to their home country.
Immigrants on a temporary work Visa should not be eligible for
unemployment.

If America needs workers, we can provide a program where the workers
can work in America and pay the taxes other Americans pay. We can not
allow an open door policy where illegal immigrants bring entire
families to the US burdening the American economy and taxpayers with
those that are not United States citizens. We can not strengthen or
force other governments to provide for their citizens if we allow
illegal immigration to our country, illegal immigration that will tax
our resources and deteriorate the standard of living for legal United
States citizens.

The legislation that has been proposed by our United States Senate is
nothing short of forced Socialism on the hard working tax paying
citizens of America. They are asking Americans to pay for and carry
the burden of third world countries by forcing Americans to accept
illegal immigration as a charitable donation to those that may not
have the opportunities in their own countries that we offer in the US.
Instead of working to change the political atmosphere in other
countries that promotes the corrupt form of government subjugating
their citizens, the Senate is asking us to pay the price for the
failures of other Latin American countries.

The only ones that benefit from this pathetic form of acceptable
criminal activity are the Socialist leaders of Latin American
countries that are determined to export their idealistic and flawed
philosophy into our strong Democratic system. Amnesty is not
Democracy. It is not empowerment, it is entitlement. If our Senators
can not understand the simplicity of the underlying values they are
destroying then they don't deserve Democracy either. If Americans can
not see how our Congressional leaders are destroying their American
way of life and the values our country was founded on, then all of us
will soon lose our freedoms and our Democracy. We now pay higher
taxes, receive less public services and pay higher prices for
everything buy. Our government continues to spend our money foolishly,
burden our children with more debt, tax our limited resources beyond
their capabilities and conserve less and less for the generations to
come. We are quickly destroying the very fabric our nation was founded
on and we will all soon pay the heavy cost of this folly.
