Hello:
Can pressure treated wood (exterior use) be directly painted over without a primer ? Latex paint O.K. ? If a primer is needed, recommendations for ? Then is Latex O.K. ? Thanks, B. |

Painting Exterior Wood ?
Most times the wood needs to weather a bit first. Primer is a good
idea if you want the least problems. Water based finishes are fine. Robert11 wrote: Hello: Can pressure treated wood (exterior use) be directly painted over without a primer ? Latex paint O.K. ? If a primer is needed, recommendations for ? Then is Latex O.K. ? Thanks, B. |

Painting Exterior Wood ?
Always use primer! Always!
I would put 3 coats of oil based primer, then at least two coats of oil based paint if it's going to be outside. |
