I have a 10 year old house that has steel siding that is badly peeling.
There are large "sheets" of paint falling off of the siding.
It's mostly happening on the south side of the house. Most
manufactures appear to have 40 or 50 year warranties against this
obvious defect. The problem is the previous owner subbed out the
siding job himself and has no record or recollection of who installed
the siding or of the manufacturer. The entire house is very high
quality so I have no reason not to believe that this was premium
siding. How can I determine who the manufacture is? I removed a large
section of siding and there are no marking anywhere on the siding.
