Default ceiling light bulb

I know this sounds silly - but I have a ceiling light bulb installer
stick.

I was able to remove the old bulb - but can't seem to be able to
install the new one

Is there some trick to it?

if bulb slips in the stick try adding a rubberband outside the grabber
to improve the grabber strength.
