Hi- I read friedrich is quiet at 10,000 BTU. Does anyone know if its
just as quiet and reliable at 24,000 BTU?

Also, at the capacity of 24,000 BTU is there a unit with remote
control?

Or any other unit recommendation for 24,000 BTU?

I know how quiet and reliable current models are, but I asked Friedrich
the age of the 19,500/19,000 BTU thru-the-wall unit in a home I bought in
2002. Apparently it was made in 1972 and is still going strong enough to
more than cool whole 1st floor of my 96 yr old home at low speed in 100+
degree weather.

The largest remote control window unit they appear to have is SM24L30,
which does say "Ultra-quiet Operation".
