Can you figure out who made the saw for Sears ?? I have had to contact
the actual manufacturer for some older Sears stuff.

You can get it through SEARS the part number that you need for the
instructions is EN-607

instruction sheet EN-607 comes up as unavailable if you try to buy one.

The saw was given to me. The original owner can not find

The "instruction sheet" (Sears part # EN-607 if that helps) is unavailable.
However if you go to www.partsdirect.com and enter 315 34030 as a model
number, it will bring up your chain saw along with an exploded diagram and
parts list. You can order the parts online. Often most if not all parts are
available but the manual while listed comes up unavailable. I tried to order
a nameplate and it was willing to sell me one.

If you needed the manual to fix the saw, this site may be all you need.
