Anyone have some ideas about how to properly add another pump to power
my pool cleaner and a waterfall? I have the clearner and waterfall, but it was added off the main pump, and I'd like to put a new pump for just those two, increase their power, and maybe by-pass the main filter. I don't/cannot add more suction lines from the pool, but I'd like to increase their power using a new pump. But I'm concerned about getting the set up and pressures and stuff correct. Some details: - Hayward C1200 filter - 2 HP pump - skimmer and main drain from pool - 3 normal returns - 1 pool cleaner return - 1 waterfall return My current diagram: ________ _______ ||==XX== suction from skimmer | | | | || | |====|pump |====|| |filter| | | || | | ------- ||==XX== suction from main drain | | | | | | ||==== line to 3 returns | |================XX | | || ||==== line to pool cleaner | | || -------- XX==== line to waterfall So, can a new pump suck water from the pool from the same supply lines? Where do I tie in the pump? Any help is much appreicated. Thanks, Carl |

Damn, the diagram looked OK when I added it. Copy diagram to notepad or
anything with courier and it will look OK. |

Pardon the top post...
I would be more inclined to increase the HP of the one motor rather than add a motor. THEN change the return to the waterfall so that it looks like this...the J being an Jandy Valve XX==== line to waterfall || _____ || _______ ||==XX== suction from skimmer | | | || | || | |===J==|pump |====|| |filter| | | || | | ------- ||==XX== suction from main drain | | | | | | ||==== line to 3 returns | |================XX | | ||==== line to pool cleaner | | -------- What issues are you having that prompts you to need more power? Not enough flow/suction? wrote in message oups.com... Anyone have some ideas about how to properly add another pump to power my pool cleaner and a waterfall?
