I have a broken cup holder that has to be removed and a new one installed.
How is the old one removed? How is a new one installed? |

"bizzybody" I have a broken cup holder that has to be removed and a new one installed. How is the old one removed? How is a new one installed? I'm in a similar situation. Mine's broken, but I have all the pieces and wonder if there's way to glue it back on, such that it'll stay there. Lots of things will hold for a while, but I wonder if there something that is reasonably permanent. RichK |

What I did was to use (believe it or not) calking adhesive (Pheno-Seal) to piece them together and then cemented (same adhesive) a couple of paper clips underneath, across the crack, to provide additonal strength and support. Held the whole thing together with some duct tape to the wall until it all cured. Can't tell without looking closely that anything happened. It's been about two years and all is still well (fingers still crossed) MLD |

Thanks MLD for very clear instructions. Will try the same.
Of course, it can be removed and replaced as the OP wants to do, but I have a maching one, so I would have to remove two items. It's worth a try to fix only one :-) RichK "MLD" wrote in message Mine broke diagonally half.
