A copper male (Slp-NPT 1/2") and PVC (NPT-Slp) female coupling will cost about $1.80 and you can get them at any hardware store. The link is for a brass fitting which can be disassembled "in situ" which my solution cannot be. If I needed to repair the union, I would just cut the PVC pipe and use a straight union ($0.29) to join it back together later. |

Never, NEVER, thread a metal male adapter into a female plastic adapter. The metal male adapter will expand the plastic female adapter and cause you major problems down the road. |
