Help with high efficiency washer
I've got a Kenmore high-efficiency front-loading washer, model
#417.44102300, that broke down. It started a load fine, but after finishing the first wash cycle, it started emitting a loud buzzing sound. It doesn't drain or fill any more, but the timer does advance and the tub tumbles fine. It also emits an awful clicking noise, similar to gears grinding, once in a while as it goes through its cycles. The buzzing goes through several on/off cycles as the tub tumbles and the timer goes towards the spin cycle, but it still never drains. Then the buzzing comes back as it goes into the spin cycle, I hear that grinding again, and it tumbles, but doesn't spin nor drain. Any ideas? Know of any repair sites that cover the high-efficiency washers? I haven't located any of those yet. Thanks. -- --Marc |
