Replacing Outer Washer On Faucet
Here is how I do it.
Remove the handle, remove the packing nut, re-install the handle. Turn handle counter clockwise to remove stem. Lefty loosie, righty tightie. The handle will give you the leverage and keep you from marring the stem with pliers or buggering up the stem end which could keep the handle from going back on. OK, now the stem turns and turns and turns. But it won't come out. Is something stripped? Solutions, please. Thanks, Jack |

After it is unthreaded (Doesn't come out any further after turning) then
just pull it straight out. A little 1/8 turn back and forth may help. It should just pull straight out. "Bro Jack" wrote in message ... Here is how I do it.
