Gas Fireplace Shuts Off

I have a gas fireplace, it was existing so I don't know the model
number or maker, if turns on fine but often will shut off with no
warning. It just goes out, sometimes between 10-20 minutes, sometimes
it's been running a few hours and goes out. Any ideas where I even
start to try and figure this thing out? Thanks!
