Default Septic Tank Perk Test Question.

My question is if a suucessful perk test was performed in one place
and the septic system is installed only 10 feet away from where the
successful perk test was performed, is it possible that a septic
system may not perk in the new position that is only 10 feet away from
the original perk test location?? Only reason why I ask is that I
have some friends that are being told this by a builder and the
builder is asking them for more money since they have to do something
extra now to the septic system to make it work now. The health
inspector indicated this to the builder the it was not perking or
perking sufficiently. Any advice would be helpful with regards to
perking. Much appreciated. Thanks.

Why didn't the builder install the septic where he was supposed to?
Sounds like the builder is at fault.

So whose problem does the contract suggest this would be?
