Default Blinds question

The house I'm doing has some pretty large windows in the sunroom and I
was thinking of replacing some worn mini-blinds with either the 2"
wood or faux wood blinds.

Where have the rest of you gotten the best price for this type blind?

I was looking at nobrainer (as advised previously on this group) and
wondered which of the blinds have people here bought with good
results?

Did you find the faux wood was just as visually appealing as the real?

Lastly, we will have 3 small children around these blinds and I was
wondering how the rest of you deal with keeping them from tangling in
the strings?

I just bought 2" wood blinds by Levelor at Home Depot. They ran a special in
September for 15% off. The price was fair compared to other places I looked
at. I would tell you to wait for another sale, but they just had one, so I
don't know when they will run it again.

JMO, no. My family room ones are "golden oak" real wood and the IMO, faux
wood tone look very faux. The faux wood *white* blinds I have in my
bathrooms though look perfectly fine.

The Levelor's come with a cleat you can attach to secure them if you like,
and I think you can order an upgrade where the loop is attached so you don't
have any dangling strings. They also make an cordless option, but it's pretty
expensive.

I have a 4 year old and I haven't had any trouble with him ever touching my
shades. Then again, he doesn't get into much like that and if I tell him
they are not for touching, and make it serious, he won't.
