That is where the smell is supposed to come out, anywhere else is not
acceptable. If you are smelling it, maybe you should add an extension to make it higher. "Dee Randall" deedoveyatshenteldotnet wrote in message ... Wondering what might be done to eliminate odor coming from roof pipe? Hopeful for some suggestions. Thanks Dee |

That is when it seems to be smelling. Thanks for your reply. Dee |

Thanks Dee My husband said he had added an extension, but it was the maximum that he could add for the sake of stability. However he said that he did order the charcoal filters. Thanks again, Dee |

Thanks again, Dee Had this same problem and it turned out that the ignoramus installer forgot to install the inverts in the first tank. No inverts results in odor being allowed to vent back up the pipe. The invert is a section of pipe which is installed on both the incoming and outgoing pipes which is elbowed down below the level of liquid in the tank. Acts a lot like a p trap in a drain. Gary |

After pumping it out first, of course. Once installed, no more smell. Gary |
