Hi,
I want to attach our microwave to the bottom of cabinet so we can have more counter space. Can you teach me how to do it? Where to get the kit needed? We are even thinking to buy a new microwave if there is such a kit included. Thank you very much. I greatly appreciate it. |

I mounted one in my last home. The microwave has threaded holes in the top and you simply drill the holes in the cabinet in the correct location using the supplied template, and install the screws. I wouldn't mount a large unit this way - a smaller one should work fine. If your existing unit doesn't have threaded holes in top, don't try to mount it - the top may not be strong enough or designed to carry the weight., and you would have to disaaemble it to put nuts on the underside BTW.... ever heard of Google? http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&i...=Google+Search Here's a How To article: http://www.diynet.com/diy/diy_kits/a...278607,00.html John John Davies TLCA 14732 http://home.comcast.net/~johnedavies/ '96 Lexus LX450 '00 Audi A4 1.8T quattro Spokane WA USA |

The kind of under cabinet microwave usually has a specialized bracket, First hang the bracket under the cabinet then attach the microwave to the bracket. Only a few selected models have such setting available so if you go this route you may have to get a new microwave. Another approach is build a customized shelf on the wall and put your microwave on the shelf. No new microwave needed but you have to have some woodworking/DIY skill and knowledge to accomplish this. Or you may find your microwave together with the dishes inside crashing on top of a toddler when he/she treats the shelf as monkey bar. FC |

Some microwaves are specifically designed to be under-cabinet. They
come with the mounting kit for doing that. If yours is not designed to be there, there is probably no safe way to mount it. Get the model number and ask at an appliance store that carries that brand, or go to the manufacturers website. Christina Stuart wrote in message ...
