Matching faux stone outside house
Hello,
The house my wife and I are looking at buying has what I'd call faux stone on the outside of the front, and at some point they added a hole to the front living room (next to front door) for an A/C unit. I'd like to patch this up, but I'm not sure how to match the faux stone on the front of the house. I looked through my photos of the house and found these two pictures (ignore the cat...). http://www.hotlug.org/house1.jpg http://www.hotlug.org/house2.jpg In the first picture you can see the window unit near the front door, and in second photo is a closer look at the fake stone. It appears they used brick mortar or similar for the stone, so if I could just find a replacement for the stone and match the colors (variety of colors on the house), then that should work. Problem is finding a similar stone to use. Any suggestions? The are is only about 3'x2'. Also if anyone has other suggestions on how to 'hide' this on the front porch so it's not so apparent, that'd work as well. Thanks for your time and help -- Alex |
