dehumidifier question
Hi All,
I've got what seems a really stupid question. I've just purchased a De Longhi DCN60 dehumidifier for my basement, but there's nothing in the user guide on best practices in terms of usage. Do i leave the dehumidifier permanently on? Do i leave it on for a few days a week? Do i leave it on for a couple of hours a week? Thanks, Steve. |

Does the unit have a humidity sensor that turns it on when the humidity gets above its set point? If so, leave it on and it will cycle as needed to maintain your desired humidity. And don't forget to empty it with some regularity. If you can put a hose on it and lead the hose to a floor drain, that would be ideal. -- Rich Greenberg N Ft Myers, FL, USA richgr atsign panix.com + 1 239 543 1353 Eastern time. Dear Steve, Just in case: Don't forget to desinfect your dehumifier very often, otherwise you might end up like my mom - with pneumonia. Fungucides and bacterias are no fun ! Question: Do you have a wet basement that needs treatment in may be a solving the situation way? Perhaps I can lend you a hand on this. Chris @ www.drytronic.com |
