Default Pool heater - return line water temp?

My 400k propane gas heater seems to be taking long to heat my new pool
here on Long Island.

I have a Jandy Lite2 series.

The pool is a 45 x 27 x 21 Lagoon, which is 3 1/2 feet deep in the
shallow end and 7 foot in the deep end.

In the Jandy instruction manual, it states that there is a method to
measure the "temperature rise" which is the difference between the
current pool water temp and the water temp at the outlet of the heater.

It states that it should be between 30 - 39 Degrees F.

I measured the temp at one of the pool return lines, which I know
should be a little different, and it's only 5 degrees higher (81).

Does this seem right?

Whenever I email Jandy, they never answer my questions, they just refer
me to the nearest Jandy dealer.
