Default HMS Warranty a waste of Money

I bought the infamous HMS Home Warranty that "Covers everything". My
air conditioning broke. I called the warranty people to send someone
out to check it out. The HVAC person look like he did not know what he
was doing. He then told me the compressor was broken. I ask what is
the process to get this fixed. He said he would have to fax the
problem to Warranty people and they would decide the appropriate
action. Well that took 3 weeks to fax to the warranty people. The
warranty people then required another piece of information and that
took another 2 weeks to fax. Bare in mind, I was without air
conditioning all during july and august. Faxing is not rocket
science. So, at the end they told me the claim was denied for
pre-existing problem. I ask for my money back and virginia is a state
that does not offer refunds. I was ****ed. These people really
suck!!!!! So, do not use HMS Warranty.

The whole warranty industry is one big scam. If anyone decides to buy
a warranty STOP! You are better off shopping around and investing the
money in something else. Warranty company will get you the cheapest
parts possible. In the long run, You are most likely repairing it
within a year. So, if your realtor tells you to get a warranty STOP!
Don't do it. Bottom line walk away and save the money.
