Default shallow well drilling

I have the hydra tek drilling machine. It says to dig to pits, one for
the waste from the hole and the second for the water/bentonite to suck
up into the drill stem. The pits are 2x4x2. My question is how much
bentonite to water do you need? You have to pits, do you have bentonite
in both pits or just one?
