Default well pump removal

I have a well its strictly used for lawn irriagation and the I believe
after a good many years my pump died. I removed the cap from the well
and there is juice running to the pump so either the well is dry which
I doubt highly or my pump is toast. Called a well man and got an
estimate of $1400 bucks motor runs 350-425. My question is this there
is a tool need to dislodge the pump which is secured into the well what
exactly is it that I need and how is it used to remove the pump

How deep is your well? You can test if your well is dry by using the "drop a
pebble" or a string test. The well companies use a tripod device that has
two rubber wheels that grip the hose. It is motor driven and slowly
pulls/lowers the hose & pump out/in. I doubt you will be able to move
anything by hand alone. There is also another tool that is T shaped that
hooks onto the topmost part of the hose. This prevents the whole thing from
falling down inside and gives a person something to hold onto while
connecting the top of the hose to the top of the well casing.
