Default Jenn-Air dishwasher

We've been looking at new dishwashers and the Jenn-Air looked good at the
price. The other one in the running is a Sears. Both are in the $800
range. From appearances the Jenn-air is built by whirlpool and
the Sears by Bosh, if it matters. Comments, experience?

I had all Jenn-air appliances in my last house. They worked
well, but then again, they were all new. In my opinion, you
pay at least $100 per unit for the Jenn-air name. You could
probably find the same model built by Whirlpool for much less.

Thanks. You may be right, but he wirlpools we've seen aren't impressive.
We've been looking to replace the contractor-garbage we had. For some
unkown reason it decided to leak all over the kitchen the week *before* we
put down new (bamboo) floors. ;-) The floor is pretty much done, so we're
looking to replace the dishwasher.

We don't plan to live here all that much longer, but aren't about to
scrimp on appliances. The Sears (Kenmore) unit we're looking at seems to
be made by Bosch, by the looks of the hardware at least. It does have
a grinder which the Bosch's don't, however. Dunno, the wife will have the
last say. I think she likes the Kenmore.

....just looking for more information. Thanks again.
