Hello: Can anyone enlighten me on a gas fireplace? My husband and I are
moving and the family room has a beautiful brick gas fireplace in it.
How does it work? I know it heats up a room quickly--but I know little
about the operation otherwise.

I even find needles in haystacks. I've been using the internet since
1994. I just thought that some people in this group would be kind
enough to indulge me (God forbid--according to you) and just give me a
few tips.

Not a bit of anger in my reply and nothing about search engines, just a
statement of fact in the form of a pun. Read your own post. You are the
wiseguy who asked "Can anyone enlighten me on a gas fireplace?" . Ha, ha,
very funny trolling question. You continue the troll by asking about the

Okay, now to the answer. Well, how does a wood burning fireplace work ?
Fuel is burned creating heat. Same with a gas fireplace, just cleaner fuel.
