transformer info
hi
can anybody help ? I'm doing some measurements on assorted power transformers (3VA to 100VA) and am wondering what the general term is for the difference in output voltage between no load and full load conditions. Probably expressed as a percentage. Steve |

Probably expressed as a percentage. Steve ----------------- It is called voltage regulation. When specifying it you should also indicate the power factor as that will have a considerable effect. VR =(no-load voltage magnitude-full load voltage magnitude)/full load voltage magnitude as a % Full load voltage is nominally rated voltage and, strictly speaking, the tests should be at rated output voltage and load KVA. -- Don Kelly remove the X to answer |
