LED Firefly Circuit Recommendations
Looking for suggestions on simple circuit w/out using microprocessor to
drive multiple LEDs in a random blinking pattern. The objective is to emulate a "jar full of fireflies". Numerous Google searches have yielded some interesting things, but nothing quite like I envision. Thoughts or suggestions? Steve |

LED Firefly Circuit Recommendations
hi steve,
I would say, if you have access to a simple FPGA board, coding a binary counter in VHDL with some simple logic to randomly select particular counter bits to drive the LEDs is an easy way of randomly LED blinking...I hope this helps.... If you dont have access to any FPGA prototyping boards, you can find cheap and compact FPGA board at www.design4fpga.com . Regards, A.M.
