Default Sony VCR SLV-SE727

This brandnew VCR has a few problems: +12V, +5V and + 28V present
No display, no sound, no pic
All fuctions acting weard, no reverse or rewind. In PB with tape running the
RF ANT Prog shows on RF out and SCART. Power ON/OFF does not function, Eject
does not function, except when mains powercord is cycled....but the
Mainboard, Mechanics and Frontpanel still looks superb !!

assuming the mode switch is not defective, there could be a short or
other problem somewhere in the control circuitry (like possibly a screw
floating round? !)Multiple system problems lie this can be caused by
the power supply, but here, that would not appear to be the case....
corrupted eeprom-.? check also front panel controls and components.
