Gov: May consider some of the Temporary Support, Advertise via the internet
(Web Site or via Monster.com, etc) or Professional Referral Sources. Seems counter productive to have to pay a fee to have folk actually apply for employment but it seems to work. One: The temps will allow you to evaluate the potentials without some of the "overhead" Two: The referral services tend to weed out the folk that have absolutely no need to even consider other than the fiduciary inducement. Three: The Internet means allow your proposals to be seen almost everywhere. You can include much more information that in an average news print format. You can include an actual application link for your company. Four: Seems that on this side of the Atlantic that News Paper advertisements and listing only are considered by a very small segment of the population. I hope some of this information assists your concern in allocating and selecting appropriate personal for your Research and Development Department. Cheers! wrote in message ps.com... I would be curious to know who is growing in the UK?
Some curiosity questions: I was reading a while back, that the competition is fierce. I was also reading at that time, that the major auto manufactures in the UK are moving all their facilities to the Orient. The article even said that Jaguar closed down all their operations in the UK. I have some friends that left the UK over the last few years due to the lack of jobs. One of them moved to Canada, and the other moved to Australia. In fact they are experts in auto engineering design, especially with the computer software, and electro-mechanical design. One of these people who left the UK lived near to your location. I would not think that they will ever go back, unless the offer war more than worth it. However, in looking at http://www.bba-reman.com/ your product lines are very impressive! Would you export your products to North America? Are you able to supply parts for North American versions of cars? Have you thought about distribution of parts in North America? North America is a huge market if you can get involved with it. -- Jerry G. ===== wrote in message ps.com... I know that New Zealand ran a job fair in the UK recently looking for all sorts of trades people and skilled people to migrate there. N |
