Mitsubishi VS-5071 no picture has sound.
Mitsubishi VS-5071 projection TV (in a good shape) has no picture, but
receives sound fine. Nothing comes up. The tuner works but the menu (OSD) is not accessible. The tube filaments are lit up. Would the problem lie in the vertical circuits or the PiP module? Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks. Mike. |

Check vertical circuit first. If the filaments are on, then you've got H.V. and
deflection. IC 401 or 4A01 will be the IC, probably a LA7845. Notorious for loose solder connections on the pins, as well as cooked and possibly leaking capacitors in the circuit. |
