Default Mitsubishi VS-5071 no picture has sound.

Mitsubishi VS-5071 projection TV (in a good shape) has no picture, but
receives sound fine.
Nothing comes up. The tuner works but the menu (OSD) is not accessible.

The tube filaments are lit up.
Would the problem lie in the vertical circuits or the PiP module?
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
Thanks. Mike.

How many times are you going to post the question ?

What voltage measurements have you done so far ?
let us know what trouble shooting you have done.

You only have to post your question once. It can take from a number of
minutes to several hours for a question to appear in the news groups
systems. The post has to get distributed through many servers along the way.

The information you are giving is much to vague to have any constructive
answer. You would have to indicate the power supply output voltages, at
their respective locations, if there are drives to the respective scan
circuits, and other basic types of information.

Going by your basic description, this can be a scan failure, or part of the
power supply is defective, a bias problem at the CRT(s), and many other
things.

Your best bet would be to have a proper estimate done on the set, to
determine if it is worth to have it serviced or not. Many of these types of
faults are too complex for the average do-it-yourselfer to service. There
are also some serious safety issues when working in these sets.
