Default Toshiba TV Model CF30C50 has low sound output...

I don't have a schematic; I've substituted out a few of the larger
capacitors one at a time (assuming a bad power supply capacitor). But I'm
just guessing. Anyone have experience with this model or know of a good
(cheap) source for the schematic? I've done TV repair in the past, just
not recently. Thanks in advance for any assistance..

A/V input sound ok? Just tuner sound bad?
Look for a bad SBX sound module inside the if tuner can. About a $15
part mail order.

It's one of the square shaped "boxes" that solder vertically to the
main board near the tuner, usually labled H001. You have to unsolder
all the inline pins that mount it to the board, (about 20-25), then all
4 corners to remove it, then pop off the metal shields and look for the
MTS module. It's a little piece about 1"x1.25" with about 16 leads part
# SBX1637-11. Unsolder the pins (about 16), replace it and you should
have sound again.
