I've seen ads for the Mustek DV4000 digital camcorder that went for as
low as $110. I was wondering if anyone knows what's wrong with it?

It's cheaply made. When someone in a Dutch newsgroup asked for help on
repairing a Mustek, I replied "... if all else fails, you can always
take the hint and throw the thing off of a bridge". To understand that
quote, you should know that Mustek means "small bridge" in some Slavonic
languages.
