Default Denon DCM - 320 CD Player

This unit plays intermitently. It will play fine for hours on end, but
when trying to play after has been off, often times the unit won't play.
The player seems to have problem with orientation, after it's been
sutt off, also will not open the drawer automatically while the problem
exsists.
Other times after trying to get unit to play, it will start playing
and for a long time, but on occasion it will stop finding another
selection and sit there idle. Has anyone got any ideas on this problem.
Any pointers would be appreciated. Thank You

Hi I don't know exactly what your fault is but I come across
quite a few Denons and all seem to have weird problems.
The likelyest ? cause will be dry joints on the CD control board- not
obvious ones - am working on a UDM30 now with similar problem- flexing the
board will bring on the fault.

Of course the lens should be cleaned, but this particular symptom often
indicates that the spindle motor shaft needs to be lubricated. A small drop
where the shaft enters the motor. Clean up any excess with a cotton swab.
