Amplified power speaker
Hi all
I have a 350 W amplified speaker that has begun smelling bad. Apparently the speaker works perfectly but I'm sure there's something going wrong. I've opened it and looked at the circuitry but all seems ok, no parts burning. Output voltage from transformer is ok. I suspect one of the four condensers. Is there something I can try to identify the problem ? thanks marco |

Sometimes when the caps start to fail, they can give a fish type of
odour. Change all the caps if you cannot locate the bad one. If not, and the cap goes totally defective, then you will have an expensive repair to do. -- Jerry G. ====== "marco" wrote in message ...
