Either flakey solder connections or caps in the video processor circuits.
May need to scope the signal to findout just were you are loosing it.

Hi

On this 30" Toshiba, just over 10 years old, its suddenly started going
snowy on the video

its like 90% snow, not 100%

On any input, rf, video 1,2,3,4 or SVideo, if you push on the tv from any
direction or tap it with a fist, the pix goes clear again. the audio
remains the whole time.

Anyone seen this problem?? Ive opened it, checked around the tuner
section,
its dusty but everything is tight.

thanks

Connections inside the tuner can. You can get PTS to rebuild it or attempt
to do it yourself. Look at the grounds to the shield first under high
magnification and a bright light.
