Default Source for D Ni-MH cells

I'm looking for a good source for D Ni-MH cells. I want true D cells,
not C cells in an oversized case which is what most companies seem to
be selling. So far all I've found are ones with about half the rated
capacity of the old Ni-Cds I'm trying to replace, or ones that cost
about $30 each. I'm looking for something that's at least 6 Ah and
doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
