mitsubishi vs4501-r tv power problems
I have a Mitsubishi vs4501-r I'm hoping someone might know the answer to my
problem: pushing power on the TV or remote turns TV on for about 1-2 seconds then the relay on the power supply clicks(k900 I believe) and the TV goes off. no amount of wait changes this. I sent the power supply (935c27801) to PTS electronics to be fixed, ic900 was burned out as well as r915(there may have been more but they were obviously burned up). I've gotten the power supply back from them but it is still doing the same. all components seem 2 be in working order on the power supply so I can't complain to them. does anyone else have a solution? thanks Philomathius |

Should've consulted us first, before spending that money. These sets shut down
when they have certain sweep problems. Just because a component is discolored (you called it burnt) doesn't mean it's bad. If got no change in symptoms you could've gotten away with just maintenence, solder it up and change some lytics. Most likely you have either a vertical or some other sweep failure. However, consider yourself lucky, if you had a newer Sony it might shut down due to a bad speaker. If you know how to use a scope you need to see normal output waveforms on the flyback and the vertical output. JURB |
