I've a intermittenly dead Granada/Finlandia TV i.e. nothing when power-on,
except a low buzz.But works alright,if and when it starts.
I need a schematic on this 28in TV or an operation manual(especially the
front end power supply) before I dismount the chassis (mainboard is
mounted on a tilting board for easy dismount) for repair.
Any help wld be much appreciated (except suggestions for replacement,that
is).

Sounds to me one or more bad capacitors in the powersupply. Did you tried to
replace them and see what it does?

TV has gone dead totally since post.I've been gathering info om this make
from local lib. & web & is about to open the 'can' with a TV repairman.

I reckon that since it managed to servive this long (since 3/90),it
deserves to live on..
