Default Pioneer PDP-V401e plasma troubles

i'm looking for the service manual for a Pioneer PDP-V401e plasma display.

or alternative - a way to repair the Y drive assembly.
the story goes - i had a white band across the bottom 1/4 of the screen.
i sent the display off and found out that an opto-coupler had failed, there
are 12 of these on the board (PC911). the screen was returned and the white
band continued to show itself. the following day the screen smoked. i
removed the y drive assembly and found that the two hybrid IC's had burnt,
they are HY6800 parts.

i am looking to get hold of the service maual so that i can see what
voltages should be present as i replace the faulty components... anyone got
one...

Are you certian that the unit is not deemed board servicable? Many of the
Plasma Sets are normally serviced in that manner.

Service manual contains a BLOCK diagram for the set except for minimal
parts information on the power supply board. The set is BOARD level
repair, exchange through Pioneer. The optoisolator failure is an
engineering defect and ALL the y driver boards need replaced with the
updated ones if it has the old ones.

Pioneer US has been supplying those boards no charge to authorized
servicers for repair for a long time when the customer calls the
customer service number. Catch, no Pioneer help for sets that someone
had tried to repair the boards or an unauthorized servicer attempted a
repair.
