Default Sencore SC61 Waveform Analyzer - Dim display

I've had this thing for ages but have used it only rarely because the
display is so dim.

As I recall, I went through the circuitry a long while ago and found no
abnormal readings; leading me to suspect the CRT was the culprit.

A call to Sencore today lists the price of a new tube (18G28) at $198.
Ouch!
Does anyone have any fixit tips for this problem on an SC61.
Has anyone had success using an CRT rejuvinator on an 18G28?

Other suggestions?

Thank you.

You're lucky to get a knob for under $198 from Sencore.
I haven't hooked up my CRT restorer to this particular tube, so I can't say
how effective -- or possible -- it may be. But I do have the schematics in
case anyone has lost theirs or never had any in the first place. I'll be
glad to look up part values or voltages/waveforms, etc...

Hello
I can't find the setup information for a 18G28.
If i remember i used the universal adaptor,
useing the crt schematic for proper connections.
If you don't have a schematic i can send you the
CRT elements and base connections.
Best regards
