Default Got this dog: JVC NV-55D500, tries to power up but it's not that simple.

http://www.jvcservice.com/service/ parts centers should allow access to
download the service manual, etc Hope this helps Jason!!

Resoldered the deflection board, checked & changed several caps but
fault remains the same. Checked for power on signals is good, SMPS is
both as standby supply and main power supply in one (based on
STRF-6628 IC). Does have horizontal and vertical waveforms from
signal board to the deflection board. Protect lines not tripped.

Now the main part need to keep in mind: The relay closes two power
sources from secondary side SMPS for the 130V and other one I think
18V for audio amp IC(checking service manual, yup.). This fault,
relay did not close, even didn't just do a "double clack" either.

Secondly, Micro resets every time power button is pushed. Found out
that SMPS was dropping out for a instant long enough to make micro
reset. The JVC designed this one to report info via LED blinks.

Three blinks means micro is fine and functioning (happens when first
plugged in). When pushed, the LED lights up then fades out quickly
then three blinks as if micro had no power and got power just like
plugging in. Note: no relay action either. Push power button makes
same sequence. Checked for error codes, there's none.

There is no waveforms through the flyback and horizontal coils bec of
no 130V because relay didn't close. Need that power to stay up to
successfully power up process to carry through..

Tried audio's power unplugged. No change. No sign of burnt
components, no shorts either.

Seen like this?

Cheers,

Wizard

Sigh, I have service manual on a cd from JVC for that thing. It even
have training manual for this model but very little info on it.
