Mitsubishi CS-3535R PIP 930B500-002
Hi. Have sorted the lost video down to the PIP board 930B500 - this is the
larger board. Does anyone know of a bypass for this? Mits was supposed to devise a workaround as this board is no longer available they say. Anyway, here is what is wrong. S-video works fine, but composite video (jack and tuner) gets lost on the chip IC7000 - flat surface mount chip where inputs come in. If using S-video, you get good pip video Y and C from pins 9 and 11 on VP connector. When you use regular video or tuner video, there is no video output from this chip to pins 9 or 11 or any of VP or FP connector. This has no surface mount caps. I did change a number of leaky regular caps, checked rest, and checked all transistors on board. They were fine. I'd like to get this monstrosity going and get the owner taken care of if possible. Thanks much, Danny |
